Myrtle Beach Days - August 15

Friday saw the departure of Daddy, Paul, Stephen and Melissa and the arrival of Mimi and Oneil. It was a momentous occasion for Oneil to leave his farm and come to the beach, and we
were very glad to have him share our vacation.

Thursday turned out to be quite the exciting day. Tommy had been talking about parasailing all week long, and on Thursday we decided to go for it. Stephen and Melissa went first, and then Tommy went with Paul. Tyler and I rode in the boat as spectators, and Paw Paw watched from the shore (after going home to take the fish out that Tommy left in the oven). Everyone really enjoyed the experience - and special kudos go to Stephen who is afraid of heights!!!

Wednesday was pretty much a washout as far as the beach was concerned. It rained all day long. We decided to go shopping at the outlets along with everyone else! The traffic was so bad that we stayed in for the rest of the afternoon and then went out to eat seafood. We enjoyed a homemade cheesecake for dessert compliments of Melissa for my birthday!

Myrtle Beach Days - August 10

We were all really glad to finally make it to the beach for my 40th birthday week! After much anticipation and preparation, we arrived on Sunday at about 3. It was amazing how much better the traffic was compared to our regular July 4 week.
